Connecting Technology and Market

4 executive forums to explore photonics market and technologies
Encouraged by five consecutive years of successful forums, which attracted more than 100 participants on average, CIOE is proud to collaborate with Yole Développement again to organize 4 different forums in 2019. These forums will focuses on the latest global market analysis and technologies breakthroughs on:
Silicon Photonics, LiDAR on Automotive , 3D Sensing and InfraRed Imaging.
They will take place on September 4, 5 and 6, 2019 in Shenzhen, alongside CIOE 2019 (the 21st China International Optoelectronic Exposition) at Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center. These events present market and technologies within the photonics industry. Discover more about each of them below.

The 2nd Executive Forum on Laser Technologies: About Manufacturing Processes and Solutions

福德正神CIOE is proud to collaborate with Yole Développement to organize an all-new Executive Forum on Silicon Photonics. It will take place on September 4, 2019 in Shenzhen, alongside CIOE 2019.

Silicon photonics is an exciting technology, leveraging semiconductor manufacturing infrastructure to combine different photonic functionalities on the same chip. Compared with other photonic ICs, silicon photonics will have the highest compound annual growth rate of 34%, mostly for Data Centre Interconnects (DCI). The market’s value will grow from around $455M in 2018, equating to 1.3M units, to around $4B in 2024, equating to 23.5M units. DCI from metro to long haul/subsea is the largest market, with coherent telecom and sensors being a minute part. 5G is coming and could involve large volumes in the future as well.

Executive Forum on 3D Sensing For Consumer: Let’s Connect with This Game Changing User Interface

After a successful first edition, Yole Développement is proud to collaborate once again with the China International Optoelectronic Expo (CIOE) to organize the Second Executive Forum on LiDAR for Automotive. It will take place on September 5, 2019 in Shenzhen, alongside the 21st CIOE. This event presents applications and technologies within the LiDAR industry, and more specifically, automotive-oriented solutions.

With the integration of LiDAR in the Audi A8 in 2017, and the introduction of Waymo’s robotic car service in 2018 in Phoenix, Arizona, LiDARs are now on the roads. Autonomous driving is expected to be one of the next big things in the automotive industry. Several companies, including car manufacturers, Tier 1 suppliers, and LiDAR players, are preparing for mass production of automotive LiDAR with commercialization targets for 2020 and 2021. The automotive LiDAR supply chain is getting ready. Join us in Shenzhen and participate in discussions about this key technology for the automotive industry! More Information

Executive LiDAR for Automotive Forum: The Automotive Market Will Shape The Future of LiDAR

After a successful first edition, Yole Développement is proud to collaborate once again with the China International Optoelectronic Expo (CIOE) to organize the Second Executive Forum on 3D Sensing for Consumers. It will take place on September 5, 2019 in Shenzhen, alongside the 21st CIOE. This event will present applications and technologies within the 3D sensing industry, and more specifically consumer-oriented solutions.

In the past two years 3D sensing has become a major technology for consumer electronics. In 2017 the iPhone X brought a major disruption with a touchless biometric interface using a 3D structured light camera. The full consumer electronics industry is now in motion to adopt 3D sensing as a new touchless user interface. In the process new technologies are entering, such as Time of Flight cameras and Active Stereo Vision. As space and bill-of-material dollars are scarce resources on the front sides of phones, 3D sensing is now entering the rear sides of phones and expanding into tablets, smart assistants, and payment devices.

Join us for this event and participate in discussions about this transformational technology for the consumer electronics industry! More Information

The 3rd Executive Infrared Imaging Forum: Heading to 1 Million Units Shipment

福德正神Yole Développement is proud to collaborate once more with the China International Optoelectronic Expo (CIOE) to organize the Fourth Executive Infrared Imaging Forum. It will take place on September 6, 2019 in Shenzhen, alongside the 21st CIOE and will include eight presentations focused on industry applications to provide quality content.

With more than a million imager units shipped in 2017, thanks to FLIR’s Lepton core and SEEK Thermal’s success, the uncooled IR detector and imager market looks promising, with its value seeing 7% compound annual growth rate  from 2018-2024.Many commercial applications are driving market growth for IR imagers: thermography, surveillance, Personal Vision Systems (PVS) and firefighting.

Join us for this event and discuss infrared imaging applications! More Information
